Ashton McCracken is from the high desert of Central Oregon, though he works in Washington, D.C. He holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in History, summa cum laude from Oregon State University. In his undergraduate thesis, “An Irish Tragedy: John Redmond, the Tragic Flaw, and the Great War in a Divided Ireland,” he argues that narrative structures are essential to the intelligibility of history. He now writes about culture and society to express clearly and simply universal truths about Man and the world in which he lives.
